This handy jig is just the tool to bend those difficult hand rails. It gives scale lengths from 42″ to 173½”, in ½” steps. Maximum diameter is around 0.6mm.
To use, make the first 90º bend using pliers. Put the “leg” of this bend through the correct hole in the jig for the length you want, then form the second bend by pressing down on the wire against the edge of the jig. Keep hold of the first leg whilst you are doing this, so the two legs end up parallel to each other.
Jig E017/4 will give lengths from 3″ to 52″.
