Description
This design was introduced by the Great Western Railway in the 1940s, and the design was continued by BR’s Western Region. As shown in the photograph, the etch produces a 4-doll bracket; by removing parts of the bracket and platform, a 3-doll signal may be constructed instead.
The bracket assembly is 65mm (16’3″) or 45mm (11’3″) wide for a 4 or 3-doll signal respectively.
The parts are etched in 0.015″ brass.
To model a complete signal as shown, you will need: a base post (T18); dolls (T200A); signal arms and balance levers (S0015 series); finials (SC0018); lamps (SC004); and a ladder (S009 series).
