Description
Lamp, set down and pick up posts, each with ladder and all fittings. Installed c.1904-1935, and in use until c.1965. The idea was to avoid non-stop trains having to slow right down for token exchange. Unlike on some other railways, no apparatus was fitted to the loco so it all still depended on the strength of the fireman’s arm!
