Description
One uncoupling electromagnet for use with Sprat & Winkle and D. G. autocouplings. It is also suitable for use with other couplings which require a magnetic “pull down”.
The recommended power supply is 12V DC, and it should be operated by a SPST non-latching switch, as the electromagnet is not designed to take continuous current. Because of this, it is unsuitable for semaphore signal operation.
The actual size of the electromagnet is 42mm tall x 38mm wide x 15mm deep. The pole is 5.3mm diameter, and projects 13.8mm above the baseplate.
The item is out of stock in the medium term as the supplier of the special iron used to make the pole piece has closed down. We are investigating alternatives.
