Description
Based on a typical LMS pattern of corridor connection, this kit allows you to build either the scissors gangway design inherited from the Midland Railway and typically found on Period I panelled stock or the later suspended type that became increasingly standardised with the all-steel Stanier-era Period II designs of the 1930s. Both types were also used by the GWR and the scissors type was found on most of BR’s first generation DMUs, notable exceptions being the Swindon built Inter-City and Trans-Pennine units.
The assembled gangways will compress when two carriages so fitted are coupled together, and will expand on curves.
