Description
These vehicles started life in 1903 as D285 eight compartment thirds in the Manchester Exchange District sets. In 1909 these sets were reduced to four carriages and subsequently the redundant vehicles were mostly converted to motor driving trailers. M25 was a 1st/3rd composite, whilst M56 was all 3rd (one ran as a 2nd/3rd composite for a few years). Apart from insignia, the two diagrams were externally identical.
