Description
This is the only BR Mk1 gangwayed design built on a 57′ underframe. Apart from the central guard’s compartment the interior is completely open. Access is gained by four pairs of double doors. The load capacity is eight tons. All were fitted with B2 bogies from new, but many were later upgraded with the Commonwealth or B4 types.
